Equal Opportunity - Complaint Resolution

Prompt and equitable complaint resolution is an important component of ensuring equal opportunity and nondiscrimination. Any person who believes he or she has been subjected to discrimination, including harassment and retaliation, on the basis of a protected category2 may file a complaint with the Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (OPHD). OPHD will assist with informal resolution and/or provide information regarding options, including early resolution, formal investigation and grievances according to UCSF Complaint Resolution Procedures.
2 Protected categories include race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, genetic information (including family medical history), ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, citizenship or service in the uniformed services.
